Wabi Sabi Appartment Featuring Grigio Argente Granite
STS Stone supplied Grigio Argente Granite for the Wabi Sabi Apartment, a carefully curated residence in Melbourne’s inner east. Designed by Together Design Studio and featured in The Local Project, the space embraces natural imperfection, restraint and authenticity through materials and form.
Grigio Argente Granite was selected for the kitchen benchtops. Its soft grey tone and subtle texture reflect the wabi-sabi design philosophy, which finds beauty in imperfection, impermanence and simplicity. Rather than aiming for visual perfection, the design celebrates organic materials, natural finishes and a lived-in sense of calm.
The granite anchors the kitchen while complementing curved joinery, earthy textures and a muted palette. Its consistent tone and durable nature make it well suited for daily use while maintaining a refined, understated look.
STS Stone collaborated with the design team to ensure the selected slabs aligned with the material vision. Careful attention to detail allowed the stone to integrate naturally within the space, supporting the quiet and grounded atmosphere of the apartment.
